Gutter cleaning questions in Orange County

Straight answers about cleaning, downspouts, guards and how a request works.

What should I ask a gutter cleaner before booking?

Ask what the price covers, including disposal and downspout flushing, how the work is done at your roof height, what licensing or insurance paperwork you need and what happens if weather interrupts. Ask any company the same questions, including us.

How much should I expect to pay in the Orlando area?

Third-party figures vary. One site lists typical jobs at roughly $119 to $230 (Angi), another at $0.60 to $1.00 per linear foot. Treat these as outside estimates. Our own quote depends on your home and is given after we see the details.

Do I need to be home during the visit?

Often not, provided we can reach the gutters and you can be reached by phone. Condo and townhome jobs may need coordination with a manager or neighbors, so mention that in your request.

Does a gutter cleaner need a contractor license in Florida?

The contractor definitions in Fla. Stat. 489.105 do not mention gutters, so cleaning appears to be unlicensed work. Roof repair is different. This is general information; confirm with the state licensing board if unsure.

Can my HOA insist on its own vendor list?

Florida's 720.3075 says an HOA cannot require a hired worker to prove licensure to enter a parcel. It does not settle every vendor question, so read your documents and ask the board if they are unclear.

Is it worth cleaning gutters that have guards?

Usually yes, now and then. Guards stop large debris, but fine material and pollen can still collect on top and below. Tell us which type you have so the approach suits it.

How often should I book?

Third-party vendors commonly describe twice a year, spring and fall. Heavy oak cover may call for more, and a roof with few trees nearby may need less.

What happens after I send a request?

A phone call comes first, to confirm stories, gutter length, access and any gate or HOA rules. A quote follows from what you tell us. Accept, ask questions or decline at no cost; the clean-out and flush only happen after you say yes.

Is roof repair or gutter installation on the menu?

No, only cleaning is. Roofing, repairs and installing or replacing gutters belong to other trades. Should a clean-out turn up damage, we describe what we saw so you can take it to the right tradesperson.

What about gated communities and HOAs?

Mention in the request if the community is gated or has vendor rules, and who handles access. We sort out the specifics on the phone. Check association documents as well, since conditions vary between communities.

Ready to line up a visit?

Send the short form. A call follows to confirm details, and you decide whether the scope and quote suit you.
